Bengals QB Joe Burrow Scouts Steelers Before Pivotal Matchup
The Pittsburgh Steelers will look to stay atop the AFC North when they face the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
Coming off an upset loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 12, the Steelers will try to get back on track and avoid another upset against a dangerous Bengals offense.
Led by superstars Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase, the Bengals lead the NFL in passing yards-per-game, and are sixth in the league in points-per-game.
Prior to the matchup, Burrow gave a scouting report on the Steelers' defense, who allow 16.9 points-per-game, which ranks third in the NFL.
"They're physical," Burrow said. "I have a lot of respect for those guys. The way that they're playing right now, the way that they disguise their coverages, you just consistently see them making open-field tackles on plays that should have been explosives and they come out and make an open-field tackle to limit that, so we're going to have to be great in the open field making guys miss and creating some plays."
Burrow continued, discussing what the Bengals' offense will need to do to stay hot against a formidable defense.
"It's hard to hold on to the ball long enough to push the ball down the field," Burrow said. "Teams try to run the ball quick, play-action, get the ball in the perimeter. You don't want to let those edge rushers get off the ball, make you push up into the pocket into their really good interior rushers, so you got to play the game a certain way."
