It was a pretty awful Sunday afternoon for Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam. Not only did his team lose to the New York Jets on a late-game collapse; Haslam was then struck by an object while exiting the field.
The Cleveland Browns are planning to "ban" a fan who threw a bottle at team owner Jimmy Haslam. The fan has been identified and he/she will be contacted to be informed of the ban.
Rightfully so, considering Haslam could have been injured. The fan will no longer be attending Browns games.
"The #Browns have identified and plan to ban a fan who threw a bottle that struck owner Jimmy Haslam late in Sunday’s loss to the #Jets, per sources. Here’s my video of what could’ve been a dangerous situation. The team is cooperating with authorities," said Tom Pelissero.
The Browns, meanwhile, are 1-1 to start the season with a win vs. the Panthers and loss to the Jets.
Cleveland gets back to work this Sunday vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers.
