Most of America is probably tired of watching the Denver Broncos by now.
The Broncos will play their fourth primetime game in the season's first six weeks when they face the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night Football. The team's anemic offense surely hasn't been what television executives had in mind when they heard that Russell Wilson was coming to Denver, having averaged 12 points per game across their first three night contests.
But at least one person is confident in Wilson and the Broncos on Monday.
Sports talk personality Colin Cowherd tweeted that he's taking the Broncos plus the points. The Chargers are 4.5-point favorites, per DraftKings.
The thing is, Cowherd might not actually be serious. His tweet was a response to Wilson's pregame outfit, which included a pair of Aviator shades and a patterned navy suit.
Wilson has seemed to draw more flak than ever this season for his corny personality, which was on display again with his ensemble and "opportunity" tweet.
That could be due to his struggles on the field. The 11th-year quarterback is completing passes at a career-worst clip and has thrown just four touchdowns compared to three interceptions on the season.
Broncos fans — and viewers across the country — will hope Wilson's play matches his flashy outfit and he finally starts to "cook" on Monday night.
