The Dallas Cowboys are reportedly concerned James Washington - their new wide receiver addition - suffered a serious foot injury during practice this Monday.
Washington exited Monday's practice on a cart after landing awkwardly attempting to make a play an incoming pass. He was unable to put any weight on his right leg. It may be as serious as it looked.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Cowboys are "concerned" James Washington suffered a Jones fracture in his right foot. He'll continue undergoing testing as the team tries to uncover the significance of the injury.
"Cowboys are concerned that veteran WR James Washington suffered a Jones fracture in his foot today, per source. Washington was carted off and is undergoing additional testing," said Schefter.
This would be a devastating setback for the Dallas Cowboys offense. James Washington is expected to be a big contributor this upcoming season.
Foot injuries can be tricky, especially for skills players like receivers. Hopefully Washington can get back out on the practice field soon.
