Cowboys Getting Praised For Classy Move Following Trey Lance Trade
As one quarterback lands in Dallas, another appears to be on his way out.
Trey Lance, traded from the 49ers to the Cowboys on Friday, seems to be locked in to Dallas' QB3 role to start the season. As a result, expected QB4 Will Grier has been notified that he won't be on the team moving forward.
But before the Cowboys release him next week, the team plans to let him start - and finish - Dallas' final preseason game against the Raiders tonight.
The Cowboys are receiving praise this Saturday for allowing Grier to showcase his talent one last time before letting him go next week.
"At least they’re giving him a job interview for the league," Doug writes.
"Respect," Robert said.
"That’s a solid way to send someone off—giving them a chance to show case for a spot elsewhere," another fan tweeted.
Grier and the Cowboys will conclude preseason play this Saturday night against the Raiders. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
