Cowboys Quarterback Cooper Rush Makes His Opinion On Dak Prescott Very Clear

Cowboys quarterbacks Cooper Rush and Dak Prescott.

Cooper Rush is undefeated as the starting quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys.

But he's under no impression that the job is his long term.

Speaking to reporters Thursday, Rush said whenever Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott is healthy enough to play, he will, according to ESPN's Ed Werder.

"Cooper Rush on Dak Prescott: 'He's gonna bring that energy and he's communicating with everyone, and, yeah, he obviously wants to play and whenever he's ready, he will.'" -- Ed Werder

Rush has started the past four games for the Cowboys while Prescott recovers from thumb surgery. The Cowboys have won all four matchups.

Prescott returned to the practice field this week, but head coach Mike McCarthy said the team is operating as if Rush will start when the Cowboys visit the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football.

Prescott has a 53-33 record across seven seasons with the Cowboys.
