Cowboys Ex All-Pro Arrested Amid Troubling Report

Robert Quinn - once the NFL Defensive Player of the Year with the Rams - rebuilt his career when he played the 2019 season with the Cowboys.

Former Dallas Cowboys standout Robert Quinn has been arrested early Friday morning after police said he tried to leave the scene of an accident.

Quinn, 34, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with property damage and reckless driving, jail records show, with a physical confrontation with police in North Charleston, South Carolina also part of the report.

Police responded to a call just after 2 a.m. Friday because of a collision involving a red truck.

The North Charleston Fire Department was first on the scene and informed police that the suspect might be attempting to leave the scene of the crash in another car.

When police arrived, they found Quinn in the passenger seat of a white Dodge Challenger … and said that Quinn had visible injuries to his head and face, had slurred speech and was uncooperative with officers when he was asked for his identification.

The police report states a Ford F-150 registered to Quinn was on the other side of the parking lot and appeared to be the vehicle that started the collision.

Police said Quinn's truck hit a Honda Element, which was pushed into a Ford F-150, that then hit another car.

Quinn resisted officers’ requests to exit the car by holding the door closed, the report states. Police eventually removed Quinn from the vehicle and he was "escorted to the ground" by officers.

Officers interviewed the woman who was with Quinn, who said she had met him earlier that night at the gentleman's club where she worked.

Quinn - once the NFL Defensive Player of the Year with the Rams - rebuilt his career when he played the 2019 season with the Cowboys as the team's starting right defensive end. Quinn finished the season 11.5 sacks, using that performance as a springboard to signing signed a five-year, $70 million contract with the Chicago Bears the following season.
