Cowboys Land Three Players on AP All-Pro Teams
FRISCO — The Dallas Cowboys collectively have little to celebrate from the 2024 season. Jerry Jones paraded an "all in" mantra during the offseason that quickly wilted away once his team stumbled to a 3-5 start and lost Dak Prescott for the season after a hamstring injury.
Some individual accolades have trickled in and Friday, three players at The Star earned recognition on the Associated Press' NFL All-Pro teams. This comes after the Cowboys saw four players selected to just the First Team a year ago.
KaVontae Turpin, Brandon Aubrey and CeeDee Lamb all received the honors. Turpin landed on the First-Team while Aubrey and Lamb took spots on the second team.
Turpin led the league in kickoff return yards with 904 and was the only player to clear a total of 800 yards in that category during the regular season. He was also the league's only player to score on both a kickoff and a punt return.
On the offensive side, Turpin also had 31 receptions for 420 yards and two touchdowns.
While not reaching the heights of his last two seasons, Lamb turned in his fourth 1,000-yard season, a top 10 mark league-wide. He caught 101 passes on 152 targets and scored six touchdowns.
He missed the Cowboys' final two games with a shoulder injury.
Aubrey remained of the league's most dependable place kickers, netting 40 of his 47 kicks. That includes a league-best 14 of 17 clip from 50 yards or longer. He also went a perfect 30 of 30 on extra point attempts.
