A troubling situation unfolded in Vikings training camp this Tuesday afternoon. Star back Dalvin Cook was "escorted off field" by medical trainers due to a potential injury.
Cook's left hand was reportedly being attended to by the medical staff. He had to leave practice early and didn't return to live action.
According to a report, Cook came out of the locker room without his helmet and a wrap on his left hand. The hope is that it's only a minor injury.
"Dalvin Cook was just escorted off the field during individual drills. His left hand was being held gingerly by a trainer walking alongside. Dalvin Cook just walked out of the building with a wrap on his left ring finger and no helmet," said Sam Ekstrom.
It doesn't sound too serious, but this will be one to monitor. Dalvin Cook is obviously essential to the Vikings' success this upcoming season. If it's just a finger injury, he should be just fine.
Minnesota begins the 2022 season on Sept. 11 against the Green Bay Packers.
