The Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills were busy during the final day before the NFL trade deadline, although they waited until the final minutes to strike their deals.

In a buzzer-beating move, the Bills are getting safety Dean Marlowe from the Falcons in return for a seventh-round draft pick, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

"Another trade: Bills also acquired S Dean Marlowe from the Falcons in exchange for a 2023 7th-round pick." -- Adam Schefter

Marlowe made 11 tackles in eight games, including one start, for the Falcons this season. The seventh-year pro will return to a familiar spot, as he spent three seasons playing for the Bills from 2018-20.

Marlowe will join a secondary that should also include star cornerback Tre'Davious White, as the Bills activated White from the Physically Unable to Perform list on Tuesday.

The move accompanied the Falcons trading away a seventh-round pick to the Kansas City Chiefs in return for cornerback Rashad Fenton.

The Bills also made another last-minute trade to acquire running back Nyheim Hines from the Indianapolis Colts.

The deal represented the 10th deal struck on the final day before the deadline, the most in NFL history, according to Schefter.
