Three fantasy defense/special teams (DSTs) scored defensive touchdowns in Week 2: the New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens and theGreen Bay Packers. When it came to sacks, it was the Pittsburgh that led the way with seven. Surprisingly, the Tampa Bay DST had five sacks, but that's not enough to warrant grabbing the Bucs from the waiver wire. The Steelers, on the other hand, are the No. 1-ranked DST for Week 3. They face the Texans, who clearly cannot protect Deshaun Watson. While Houston has faced Kansas City and Baltimore, it won't be any easier against Pittsburgh.
For those looking to stream DSTs, Indianapolis is the one to look at this week. The Colts face the Jets in Week 3. While the Eagles and the Giants also make for good potential matchups, it's hard to recommend the Bengals (No. 25 this week) and many already own the 49ers. The 49ers DST dropped in the rankings because of the season-ending injuries to Nick Bosa and Solomon Thomas and Richard Sherman also is currently on injured reserve as well. While the Giants are struggling on offense, the 49ers are struggling on both offense and defense. They are still ranked No. 6, but fantasy owners should temper expectations moving forward.
