Picking a fantasy defense/special teams (DST) is usually a process that is determined by how likely the DST you start is to win the game. If your DST scores a defensive touchdown, it's just a bonus. In Week 4, only two DSTs scored a touchdown: the Chiefs and Eagles. It was the first such score for either DST this season. Only three teams have two defensive touchdowns: Patriots, Colts, and Ravens. All three of those DSTs are in the top seven for the Week 5 rankings. Check your league's waiver wire on the chance that one of them may be available.
For those that are streaming DSTs, the Cowboys and the Cardinals are two to look at for Week 5. The Cowboys, ranked No. 17, face the Giants. The Giants have struggled since Saquon Barkley has been out and haven't been able to put together much offense. However, the Cowboys and the Giants historically play a close game, and the Cowboys' defense isn't great (see what Cleveland did in Week 4). If the Cardinals are available, this may be the best option. They are available in about half of Yahoo! leagues, and they face a Jets team that is likely starting Joe Flacco in place of a banged-up Sam Darnold. The Cardinals are ranked No. 3 this week in a great streaming matchup.
