Denver Broncos Coach Makes Significant Decision Ahead Of Week3

Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett

It does not take a genius to see Broncos' rookie head coach Nathaniel Hackett may be in a bit over his head. However, instead of jumping to any rash decisions Hackett is going to stick with his process.

Nathaniel Hackett is making it clear he has no intentions of giving up play-calling duties. He will continue to call the offense while Russell Wilson runs the show.

It's a bit of a surprise. Hackett looks lost out there so far this NFL season. Giving up play-calling duties may help him clear his mind a bit.

“I think I’ll continue the play calling. I think that’s been pretty efficient up to this point. We’ve done a good job moving the ball. We’ve had a good plan from that standpoint. We just have to finish those drives,” Hackett said, via Mile High Huddle. “I think from the game management standpoint, we just have to tighten that whole thing up. A lot of us—we are all working together for the first time, so we just want to be sure we’re more efficient in that and have the ability to make better decisions and quicker decisions.”

If Hackett's inabilities continue to manifest themselves in games, Russell Wilson may have something to say about it.

It goes without saying this whole Denver team is a mess right now. Hopefully the Broncos get things figured out in Week 3.

The Broncos take on the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday.
