The Denver Broncos' 2022 season has gone from bad to worse in the span of 24 hours, mostly because of the status of star running back Javonte Williams.

Not only did the Broncos fall to the AFC West Raiders on Sunday afternoon; the team's starting running back has suffered a devastating knee injury.

Javonte Williams has suffered a torn ACL, torn LCL and posterior lateral corn.

Williams will not only miss the rest of the 2022 season; he has a long road to recovery ahead.

"Not only does #Broncos RB Javonte Williams have a torn ACL, but the MRI revealed a a torn LCL and posterior lateral corner, sources say. A significant injury and a long road back," said Ian Rapoport.

An awful outcome for Javonte Williams and the Denver Broncos. We wish Williams well in his recovery.

The Broncos will now have move forward with other options at running back. Melvin Gordon is expected to get the nod in the Denver backfield.

Denver is off to a 2-2 start to the 2022 season after falling to Vegas on Sunday.
