Bo Nix Stat Shows Clear Advantage Over Jayden Daniels in Rookie of the Year Race

Throughout the entire 2024 NFL season, there has seemingly been a two-man race for the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award between Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels and Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams

There might be a new leader in the clubhouse, though, and its somebody few expected to be in contention before the year started.

That rookie is Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix, who has had a brilliant run over the past two months following a slow start to his career. In his first two weeks of the season, Nix threw four interceptions and zero touchdowns. Since then, he's had 19 touchdowns and just two interceptions.

When it comes to comparisons with the other rookie passers, though, there's one stat that shows clear separation between Nix and the others, like Daniels and Williams. If you're looking at games with 200-yards passing, two touchdowns, and no interceptions, the Broncos QB has more than any rookie in the NFL with five. Daniels is second on the list with three, while Williams has two, and New England Patriots QB Drake Maye has one.

Nix got his seventh career win on Sunday with the Broncos, beating the rival Las Vegas Raiders 29-19 on the road. Nix was great in the game, throwing for 273 yards and two touchdowns with no turnovers. He now has 16 TD passes, 3 rushing TDs, and 6 interceptions on the year.

The betting odds for the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award have not yet updated after this weekend's action, but coming into the week, Daniels led the way with -400 odds. Nix was second on that list at +300, and Las Vegas Raiders TE Brock Bowers sat in third at +3000.

It will be interesting to see how those odds shift over the coming days as we continue to see what Nix can do on the field with the Broncos.
