Longtime NFL Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson Schedules Significant Team Visit

DeSean Jackson

Following a 24-20 loss to the New York Giants in Week 6, the Baltimore Ravens are looking to make an upgrade to their receiving core.

The potential addition comes by way of three-time Pro Bowler and current NFL free agent DeSean Jackson, who is scheduled to visit with the team on Tuesday.

"Veteran free-agent WR DeSean Jackson is scheduled to visit the Ravens on Tuesday, his agent @DrewJRosenhaus confirmed. At 35, Jackson wants to continue playing," Adam Schefter reported Monday afternoon.

The 35 year old receiver was a member of the Rams and Raiders last season, playing in 16 games but only tallying 20 receptions.

However, as seen throughout the course of his career, Jackson made the most of his touches and racked up 454 yards, good for 22.7 yards per reception.

The speedy Jackson, should he end up on the Ravens' roster, will look to improve a wide receiver room that has struggled to complement Lamar Jackson and tight end Mark Andrews.

While Andrews has shown he can be the catalyst for Baltimore's passing offense, his current target share (57) over doubles the two next Ravens' receivers Rashod Bateman (22) and Devin Duvernay (25).

Jackson will have his first chance to potentially make an impact for the Ravens in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns.
