Dolphins Announce Official Update On Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Tua Tagovailoa exited this evening's game between the Dolphins and Bengals on a stretcher after being tossed to the ground by a defender in the second quarter.

The third-year quarterback out of Alabama appeared to be knocked unconscious. As if that isn't scary enough, he even went into a fencing position.

The Dolphins have made an official announcement regarding his status.

The team announced that Tagovailoa has suffered both head and neck injuries.

"Injury Update | Tua Tagovailoa is out of the game with head and neck injuries," the Dolphins announced.

We will not see Tua Tagovailoa again this evening.

The good news, if any, is that Tagovailoa is conscious and has movement in all his extremities.

"Tua Tagovailoa has been taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. He is conscious and has movement in all his extremities," Miami adds.

The Dolphins quarterback has been taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center in an ambulance.

"Tagovailoa left the stadium in an ambulance and has been taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center," said Clutch Points.

We wish for all the best for Tua Tagovailoa and hope he makes a full recovery.

The Dolphins, meanwhile, trail the Bengals 14-12 at the half.
