Just moments ago, the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans agreed to a Tuesday trade centered on a veteran tight end. That player is 27-year-old Adam Shaheen.

The Texans are sending a 2023 sixth-round pick to Miami in exchange for tight end Adam Shaheen and a 2023 seventh-round pick, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

"Dolphins acquired a 2023 6th-round pick from Houston in exchange for TE Adam Shaheen and a 2023 7th-round pick," said Schefter.

Shaheen spent the last two NFL seasons with the Miami Dolphins after spending three years with the Chicago Bears. He has 50 catches for 509 yards and seven touchdowns in five seasons.

Shaheen joins a tight end room in Houston that features Pharaoh Brown, Brevin Jordan, Antony Auclair and Teagan Quitoriano.
