Dolphins wideout Tyreek Hill had a pretty funny reaction to his team's reported signing of cornerback Eli Apple this weekend, posting the message "Monday practice gone be fun" to social media on Saturday shortly after the news broke.

Considering the history between the two, some fans have predicted there could be some tension brewing in Miami. Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel isn't buying it.

Speaking to NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe on Sunday, McDaniel revealed that the team reached out to Hill before signing Apple. He gave them his approval.

And as it relates to the pair's previous beef, Hill told McDaniel "it’s just social media trash talk."

Hill and Apple began exchanging words on social media last year after the new Dolphins cornerback took to Twitter after his former team, the Bengals, beat Hill's Chiefs in the AFC title game.

"Oh yea that chiefs cheetah pack finna hit way crazier the 2nd time," Apple tweeted on Jan. 30.

Hill issued a response a few minutes later.

"No Twitter beef big dog just hit my line," Hill said a mere 13 minutes after Apple's tweet.

The pair continued to exchange words throughout the offseason and into the fall.

But now, Hill and Apple will look to work together to help get the Dolphins back to the playoffs.
