Ezekiel Elliott Makes His Opinion On Cowboys Quarterback Cooper Rush Very Clear

Fantasy Football 5 Up, 5 Down for Week 1: Ezekiel Elliott

Cooper Rush not only has won two straight games for the Dallas Cowboys; he's now earning the trust of his teammates.

Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is calling Rush "Cooper Clutch" now. It's a big vote of confidence from the team's star running back in the current starting quarterback.

Rush is clearly gaining trust from his teammates after leading the team to two straight wins, one over the Bengals and the other against the Giants.

"Cooper Clutch," said Elliott, via Twitter.

Believe it or not, Jerry Jones is already discussing the idea of a quarterback controversy in Dallas.

If Cooper Rush keeps winning, should the Cowboys think about replacing Dak Prescott with him? It's a crazy idea, but not according to Jones.

"Of course I want it," Jones said, per The Athletic, when asked about the potential dilemma of Rush building momentum as Prescott's replacement. "If (Rush) comes in there and plays as well as Prescott played ... over these next games ahead, I'd walk to New York to get that. ... Of course we want Dak to be here next week. That's the thing, you do. But Dak and I want Rush to lead the team to a victory here and get another win. Looking back, when Dak was playing instead of Tony, it was game by game.

"So do I think that it's possible for Rush to come in here and play at a level and win games the way Prescott did when he took over for Romo?" Jones continued. "Yes I do. Yes I do. I certainly think that's possible."

What a world it'd be if Cooper Rush replaces Dak Prescott. Who knows? Maybe even Ezekiel Elliott is in on it.
