Fantasy Football 2013 Wide Receiver Rankings: Week 11
Calvin Johnson remains atop Athlon Sports' fantasy football Week 11 wide receiver rankings, but his two touchdown catches last week were topped by a stampeding Bronco. Demaryius Thomas hauled in seven passes for 108 yards against San Diego, three of those counting for six points. Thomas is tied with Johnson and teammate Wes Welker for the NFL lead intouchdown receptions by a wide receiver with nine, and he also leads his peers in yards after the catch (YAC, 377). Thomas, Welker and Eric Decker could have their work cut out for them on Sunday against Kansas City, which is ranked sixth in passing defense.
Some wide receivers that don't figure to see as much resistance this week include Philadelphia's DeSean Jackson and Riley Cooper and Washington's Pierre Garcon. Not only are Jackson and Garcon among the top 11 fantasy scorers at wide receiver, Cooper has been on quite a roll of his own lately. Teaming with quarterback Nick Foles, Cooper has recorded 16 receptions for 342 yards and five touchdowns over the last four weeks. That's good for fourth at his position during that span. And if that's not enough to like about this Eagles-Redskins matchup, how about the fact that these two teams are first and third, respectively, when it comes to fantasy points allowed to wide receivers in 2013. Some weeks it's all about which team you are playing.
Each week during the NFL season, we will rank enough players at each position to appease everyone from those in 8-team leagues to 16-team leagues, those that can start two QBs, two TEs, three RBs and four WRs. We cut out the rest, because if you're looking at who the 50th-best running back or the 17th-best kicker is for that week, you need more help than any website can give you.
