Thankfully, Week 8 is over for fantasy owners. For the most part, quarterbacks came through unscathed. The Week 9 matchups are tough to predict, especially with six (that's right SIX!) teams on bye. For example, Andy Dalton has a good matchup against the Browns, but he is playing on Thursday night. Prime time games have not been a good platform for Dalton in his history, and sometimes the Thursday night games can be sluggish affairs.
Tom Brady's matchup against the Washington Redskins is good as well, but he actually dropped in the rankings. Philip Rivers, against the Chicago Bears, gets the top spot in the Week 9 rankings. The Bears give up the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks, and even though Rivers will be without Keenan Allen, he will still be throwing a ton. Without a reliable run game, Rivers is the No. 1 quarterback this week.
Teams on bye: Arizona, Baltimore, Detroit, Houston, Kansas City, Seattle
