Fantasy Football 2016 Quarterback Rankings: Week 3

Drew Brees

Drew Brees

Drew Brees is typically a wise fantasy quarterback starting option regardless of where he plays, but there's even more reason to like him in Week 3. He had an amazing Week 1, throwing for 423 yards and a touchdown, and while Week 2 wasn’t as productive fantasy-wise, Week 3 finds him back in the comforts of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Monday night against Atlanta’s 28th-ranked defense.

In eight home games last season, Brees threw for more than 2,800 yards and 23 touchdowns. In seven road games, his numbers were 2,017 yards and nine TDs. Playing in prime time, coming off of a loss in Week 2, Brees could easily be the No. 1 fantasy quarterback for Week 3.

Cam Newton and Andrew Luck round out the top three. Both are at home, and Newton faces Minnesota, which appears to be a tougher-than-expected defense. Luck faces San Diego, which should be easier than his Week 2 matchup when he faced the Broncos in Denver.
