Flex rankings for Week 5 will look a little different because this is the first week that byes come into play in fantasy football. The good news, especially for Le'Veon Bell owners, is that the Pittsburgh running back regains his status as king of the flex mountain. He faces a Jacksonville defense that while talented, has been suspect against the run and following his first monster game of the season
Elsewhere there were several significant injuries around the league, including a torn ACL suffered by running back Dalvin Cook. Cook owners were no doubt scrambling in hopes of grabbing Latavius Murray on the waiver wire, if he was still available, but how much should you trust him.
Also what about Green Bay running back Ty Montgomery, who has said he’s going to try and play with broken ribs. Should you start him? Does that make Aaron Jones the Packer RB to own or will Jamaal Williams be a factor this week as well? What about Bilal Powell and Duke Johnson, a pair of under-the-radar RBs that have had some solid weeks as of late? How much have they climbed up these rankings?
There are just some of the questions to ponder and don’t forget to factor in that Atlanta, Denver, New Orleans and Washington are all on bye, which takes some big hitters out of the equation. This is the first week were roster depth will really be tested, making flex rankings like these even more useful as you fill out your lineup.
