George Kittle missed Week 1 with a groin injury and the San Francisco 49ers struggled without him, losing 19-10 to the Chicago Bears. Unfortunately, he may miss a second straight game on Sunday.
Kittle was not present at the 49ers' practice this Thursday. That's a bad sign regarding his availability for Sunday's game when San Francisco hosts the Seattle Seahawks.
The 49ers may be taking no risks regarding Kittle's injury considering it's so early in the 2022 season. However, his availability will directly impact the Niners offense.
"No George Kittle again at the start of Thursday’s 49ers practice — obviously not a good sign for his potential availability against the Seahawks," said David Lombardi.
If George Kittle is a no-go, which it sounds like he is, the 49ers will again turn to Tyler Koft, Ross Dwelley and Charlie Woerner. But none of them possess the pass-catching abilities that Kittle does.
The 49ers will try and win their first game of the season on Sunday vs. the Seahawks. Seattle, meanwhile, was the only NFC West that came away with a win in Week 1.
