Tom Brady and his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, have no doubt faced relationship struggles since he decided to return to the NFL after retiring. Those struggles have been well documented.
In a recent interview with ELLE, Gisele opens up about those concerns regarding her husband's big decision to return to the National Football League for his 23rd NFL season. Above all, she fears for her husband's well-being. Football, after all, is a violent sport and Tom Brady is 45 years old.
Gisele also wishes Brady had more time to spend with their kids. Football takes up a big portion of the year. Brady's kids are getting any younger.
“Obviously, I have my concerns—this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,” she says. “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”
Those are valid concerns and shouldn't be much of a surprise. It also confirms the speculation about Gisele and Tom's relationship struggles.
The reality is Gisele wants Tom to retire from football and become a family man. However, Brady clearly wants to go out a champion.
The real question is will Brady walk away after this season if he doesn't win the Super Bowl? There's no doubt that's what Gisele wants.
