Here's How Much Of Robbie Anderson's Salary The Cardinals Owe Him

Arizona Cardinals

A fairly significant trade went down Monday, two weeks away from the league's trade deadline.

The Carolina Panthers sent veteran wide receiver Robbie Anderson to the Arizona Cardinals in return for undisclosed draft compensation.

The move happened a day after Marquise "Hollywood" Brown, the Cardinals' leading receiver, injured his foot and Anderson was sent to the locker room in the middle of the Panthers' loss to the Rams by his own coach.

The terms of the deal are now starting to emerge. According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, it will be the Cardinals who pay the remainder of Anderson's salary this season at $690,000.

"The #Cardinals owe Robbie Anderson the remaining $690,000 prorated portion of his base salary after the trade from the #Panthers, who were looking to move Anderson as soon as Matt Rhule was fired a week ago." -- Tom Pelissero

Pelissero also reported that Anderson has been on the trading block since prior to Sunday's incident. The Panthers have been shopping the speedster since they fired coach Matt Rhule on Oct. 10.

Anderson had caught 13 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown through six games this season. The seventh-year pro was playing his third season in Carolina after four years with the New York Jets.
