Herschel Walker is used to being the one being cheered on during a game, and now he's doing a little cheering of his own.
Walker's son Christian decided to go a different route than that of his father, and enter the world of competitive cheerleading.
"It feels like you're flying," Christian said. "That's what really drew me to cheerleading."
Despite the critics, the elder Walker supported his son. There were many who were shocked upon learning the son of such a football stud wouldn't at least attempt to follow in his father's footsteps.
"When everyone first found out about me cheerleading or, like, my dad's fans, they were really critical," Christian said. "It just seems like they had a stereotype about cheer, that it was just for females."
Walker remains proud of his son no matter what he decides to do.
"I love him so much that if he never played football, I'm going to love him as much as I love him now."
