Vikings inactives: Van Ginkel, Risner, Phillips in; Patrick Jones out vs. Falcons

The Vikings will have several key players available for Sunday's game against Atlanta.

The Minnesota Vikings won't have starting cornerback Stephon Gilmore but Andrew Van Ginkel, Dalton Risner and Harrison Phillips are all active heading into Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Van Ginkel (thigh), Risner (back) and Phillips (back) were all listed as questionable on Friday's final injury report but all four players are active for Sunday's game.

The Vikings will also have two key members of their special teams unit back as kicker Will Reichard and long snapper Andrew DePaola were activated on Saturday afternoon.

One notable absence will be edge rusher Patrick Jones II, who was limited all week in practice with a knee injury and is inactive for Sunday's game. Jones has seven sacks as a rotational player on the Vikings defense, but his injury could open the door for first-round pick Dallas Turner to see an increased role against the Falcons.

The Vikings inactives include Gillmore, Jones quarterback Brett Rypien, center Dan Feeney and offensive tackle Walter Rouse

For the Falcons, former Vikings cornerback Mike Hughes is active after being listed on the injury report as questionable with a neck injury. The Falcons also listed Ruke Orhorhoro, Jase McClellan and Casey Washington out for Sunday's game, leaving little suspense for their gameday inactives list.

The remainder of the Falcons inactives include Natrone Brooks, Rashaan Evans, Jase McClellan, Brandon Parker, Casey Washington, Elijah Wilkinson.

The Vikings will battle the Falcons with a noon CT kickoff at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
