The Dallas Cowboys are awaiting the return of franchise quarterback Dak Prescott.
Prescott underwent surgery on his hand following Week 1. He's been working his way back ever since.
Jerry Jones revealed this Tuesday morning that Prescott's return will come down to his ability to "spin the ball."
If Prescott can spin the ball well in practice, it indicates that his grip strength is close to 100 percent.
Speaking on 105.3 The Fan, Jerry Jones reiterated Dak Prescott’s return will come down to “can he spin the ball?” coming off the fractured thumb. Medically, the injury is improving, but Wednesday will begin that process to see if he can “spin the ball.”
The Cowboys are in no rush for Dak Prescott to return, though.
Cooper Rush is 4-0 since taking over for Prescott. He's played consistently good football over the past month.
The Cowboys play a pivotal division game against the Eagles this Sunday. It's still unclear who will start at quarterback for the NFC East franchise in Week 6.
