Jets Quarterback Zach Wilson To Make 2022 Season Debut This Sunday

Zach Wilson, New York Jets

The New York Jets will finally be close to full strength this Sunday afternoon.

Second-year quarterback Zach Wilson will be making his 2022 season debut this Sunday when the Jets play the Steelers of Pittsburgh.

Wilson suffered a knee injury in the Jets' first preseason game. He's been recovering ever since. Joe Flacco has been filling in, in the meantime.

Wilson will start for the Jets on Sunday.

"#Jets coach Robert Saleh says Zach Wilson fully participated in practice again and is off the injury report. He'll make his 2022 debut Sunday vs. the #Steelers," said Tom Pelissero.

Zach Wilson, meanwhile, is going to be making any significant changes to his playing style, despite recovering from a knee injury.

Wilson is still trying to make plays out of the pocket.

"I'm full go. I'm going to play ball how I can," Wilson said after his first full practice in seven weeks, via ESPN.com. "If somebody comes up, [I'll] make somebody miss, get out on the edge, extend plays when I need to, hang in the pocket. I'm playing exactly how I should be."

Can Zach Wilson turn the Jets' season around? We will find out this weekend.
