Jim Harbaugh, Laura Rutledge Interview Sparks Reaction Before Chargers-Ravens Game

On Monday night the brothers Harbaugh took center stage as the Los Angeles Chargers hosted the Baltimore Ravens on "Monday Night Football."

In his first season as the Chargers head coach, Jim Harbaugh has the team in prime position for a playoff spot at 7-3. John Harbaugh, meanwhile, has the Ravens at 7-4 and his team once again looks like a legitimate contender in the AFC.

Ahead of the game Jim spoke with Laura Rutledge where he gave a few classic Jim Harbaugh lines.

"Coach you told us no one has a better brother than you, what are you feeling as you prepare to coach against your best friend?" Rutledge asked.

"I love my brother. I'd lay down my life for my brother, but I would not let him win a football game," Harbaugh said with a smirk on his face. "He wouldn't want it that way. So it feels cool, it feels cool. We're ready to have at it."

Fans loved his quote.

"I agree with this 1000%," one person said.

"This is hilarious and as someone with 2 brothers completely agree," offered another.

"Me when I play my brother on the video game," joked another.

Turning the conversation to football, Rutledge asked, "What's important for Justin Herbert tonight against that Ravens defense?"

"You know, what Justin just told the team when he called them up and broke them down, he said, 'hey, let's play our brand of football and it's a good brand of football.' Love that brand of football. Let's go," Harbaugh said.

That brand of football worked out pretty well in the first quarter as the Chargers capped of a nine-play, 70-yard touchdown drive on a five-yard run from Herbert. Three punts later, the Chargers took a 7-0 lead into the second quarter as both teams look for their eighth win of the season.
