Late on Sunday, ESPN's Stephen Holder first reported that the Colts were considering placing Jonathan Taylor on the non-football injury list to start the season, due to a back injury he apparently sustained away from the team.

Taylor Sunday night took to social media to share his side of the story.

In a message posted just after 10 p.m. ET, Taylor denied having and reporting back pain, as was reported in the ESPN story, and had a simple request aimed at whoever was responsible for "leaking" the news.

"1.) Never had a back pain. 2.) Never reported back pain. Not sure who 'sources' are, but find new ones," Taylor tweeted.

Taylor, 24, was placed on the physically unable to perform list last week. He's currently in the midst of a dispute with team owner Jim Irsay, who he met with this weekend before reportedly requesting a trade

Taylor is entering the final year of his rookie deal in 2023.

It's going to be a wild next few months.
