The kicker with the most fantasy points in Week 9 was Greg Zuerlein, with four field goals. With the Dallas offense struggling with a revolving door at quarterback, Zuerlein is a solid fantasy option when the Cowboys return from their bye in Week 11. Nick Folk surprisingly was the second-best kicker in Week 9. The Patriots also are struggling on offense, and Folk stepped up and made three field goals. Graham Gano also made three field goals in Week 9. There seems to be a trend of teams that are struggling on offense having solid field goal kickers. The teams that are strong offensively seem to be scoring touchdowns, and therefore, the kickers are kicking extra points, but not field goals.
The Week 10 rankings don't quite reflect this theory, as it's hard to buy. If a team is going to score points, their kicker will likely get in on the action. Wil Lutz is the No. 2 kicker as the Saints play at home in Week 10 against the Bengals. Zane Gonzalez is the No. 3 kicker in what should be a high-scoring game against Buffalo. These kickers are likely widely owned and should be started. None of the teams that were on a bye in Week 9 have great kickers that may have been dropped. Jake Elliott is the highest-ranked possible option at No. 16. He isn't a terrible kicking replacement, but hold on to Harrison Butker if you can.
Teams on bye: Atlanta, Dallas, Kansas City, New York Jets
