Leonard Fournette Has 2-Word Response To NFL's Mike Evans Punishment Decision

Leonard Fournette, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The NFL has made an official discipline decision on Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans. He will serve a one-game suspension for shoving Marshon Lattimore and igniting a brawl during Sunday's Bucs vs. Saints game.

It's a bit of a surprising decision, especially considering Lattimore isn't getting punished. He's the biggest instigator. Oh well.

With that being said, Bucs running back Leonard Fournette wants his teammate to get "free" from the NFL's punishment.

"FREE MIKE #GoBucs," said Leonard Fournette.

Mike Evans will likely appeal the NFL's decision. The timing of said appeal could prove pivotal.

The Buccaneers battle Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in Week 3. Tampa Bay already isn't at full strength on the offensive end. Tom Brady could really use Mike Evans on Sunday. But it's unlikely Evans does or says anything to change the NFL's mind.

Evans will serve a one-game suspension. That's expected to be served in Week 3.
