Patrick Mahomes has no shortage of weapons in the passing game in Kansas City. He got another one on Thursday.
The Chiefs have acquired Kadarius Toney, the explosive athlete out of Florida, in a trade with the New York Giants.
Toney is believed to be a perfect fit for the Kansas City offense. He adds much-needed speed at the wide receiver position, especially after the Chiefs lost Tyreek Hill in a trade during the off-season.
Mahomes is as happy as can be this Thursday afternoon, evident by his tweet:
It must be nice for Patrick Mahomes to have all these offensive weapons at his disposal. Good for the Chiefs for supporting their franchise quarterback.
Kadarius Toney joins a Chiefs offense that has no shortage of elite weapons. The Kansas City wide receivers room now features Toney, JuJu, Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman.
If Toney can reach his potential with the Chiefs then the rest of the NFL is in trouble.
