Justin Herbert Called Out By Robert Griffin III After Performance vs. Texans
Head coach Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers were dominated by the Houston Texans 32-12 on the road Saturday in the opening round of the playoffs.
Following the performance, Chargers' quarterback Justin Herbert was called out by former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III in a post comparing him to two of the league's most well-known quarterbacks.
Griffin III had a strong take regarding Herbert and the media after his unsuccessful performance vs. the Texans, which was viewed over 1.3 million times and elicited plenty of comments from his readers on X.
"The national media better hold Justin Herbert accountable for his playoff performances like they do to Lamar Jackson and Dak Prescott," Griffin III said.
Herbert was under extreme duress for much of the game on Saturday and did not respond well during key moments in the blowout loss to DeMeco Ryans and the Texans.
He threw four interceptions, raising questions about whether he and the Chargers have what they have to change to make make a Super Bowl run during Harbaugh's tenure.
Herbert has played in just two postseason games since being drafted by the Chargers number six overall out of Oregon in 2020.
In 2022, his team lost 31-30 to the Jacksonville Jaguars as the former Ducks star signal caller passed for 273 yards and a touchdown without recording an interception on the stat sheet.
