Sean McVay and the Los Angeles Rams reportedly engaged in contract negotiations during the offseason. It appears those efforts have paid off. The Rams have made an official decision on their young head coach.

The Los Angeles Rams have officially announced they are extending Sean McVay through the 2026 season. GM Les Snead is also getting a new contract and will stay in Los Angeles through 2026, as well.

A notable decision by the Rams, who are fresh off a Super Bowl and eying a repeat title this upcoming season. Los Angeles opens the 2022 season tonight against the Bills of Buffalo.

"General manager Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay have agreed to contract extensions, keeping two of the Rams' key leaders with the club through the 2026 season," said Stu Jackson, via Rams.com. "Working together since 2017, Snead and McVay's partnership has helped Los Angeles win Super Bowl LVI and reach two Super Bowls overall, while also capturing two NFC Championships, four NFC West division titles and a 55-26 regular season record over the last five years. The Rams have finished with a winning record in each year of the Snead-McVay era so far."

Sean McVay is still just 36 years old and already has a Super Bowl under his belt. He has a long and bright career ahead of him.

The Rams will try and begin the 2022 season with a statement on Thursday night against the Bills.
