Los Angeles Rams Are Placing A Running Back On The Injured Reserve This Tuesday

The Los Angeles Rams suffered two big losses to start the season last Thursday night. They not only were blown out by the Buffalo Bills; they also lost a running back to injury. That player is Kyren Williams.

"LA Rams Transactions: • Signed Practice Squad Veteran LS Matt Overton • Practice Squad; Injured DB Daniel Isom • Reserve/Injured RB Kyren Williams," the Rams announced.

The Rams are reportedly placing running back Kyren Williams on the injured reserve. He suffered an ankle injury in Week 1 that requires surgery.

The good news is he has a chance to return at some point later this year.

"The Rams placed RB Kyren Williams (ankle) on injured reserve. He could return pending recovery from surgery. They also signed LS Matt Overton to the practice squad - one emergency option in case Matt Orzech can’t go," said Jourdan Rodrigue.

The Rams still have Darrell Henderson, Cam Akers and Jake Funk at the running back position.

Los Angeles takes on the Atlanta Falcons this Sunday.
