Los Angeles Rams Starter Suffers Serious Injury On Sunday, Out 'Indefinitely'

The Los Angeles Rams got their first win on Sunday, beating the Atlanta Falcons 31-27 at SoFi Stadium. Unfortunately, the win came at a pretty significant cost.

Offensive lineman Tremayne Anchrum made the first start of his NFL career on Sunday. However, it ended in disappointing fashion. Anchrum suffered a fractured fibula during the game and will be out for the foreseeable future.

Anchrum will soon undergo surgery. The Rams have announced he will be out "indefinitely" and moved to the injured reserve.

"#Rams OL Tremayne Anchrum, who was making his first start, suffered a fractured fibula and will have surgery and head to IR, source said. He’s out indefinitely," said Ian Rapoport.

A disastrous outcome for Anchrum, who took a massive step in his career on Sunday afternoon. Hopefully he gets healed up soon and returns later on in the season.

The Rams, meanwhile, led the Falcons 28-10 entering the fourth quarter before Atlanta came roaring back and scored 17 in the final frame. Los Angeles had a late-game interception to seal the win, though.

The Rams will try and get their second win of the year this Sunday vs. the Cardinals.
