Mike McDaniel Announces Friday Update On Tua Tagovailoa

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Tua Tagovailoa's status is the biggest storyline in the NFL this weekend. Luckily, we have new insight from Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel.

McDaniel told reporters this Friday afternoon that Tagovailoa, who exited Thursday night's game on a stretcher, has underwent an X-ray and CT scan already. He is in the process of finishing his MRI today.

The Dolphins head coach also shared that Tagovailoa did have a headache on the plane ride home, but was otherwise his normal self for the duration of the flight.

Tagovailoa's headaches continued on Friday.

"Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel said Tua Tagovailoa is finishing his MRI now. He did an X-ray and CT scan last night. McDaniel said Tua told the team that he had a headache on the team plane last night but personality was 'normal Tua.' He’s still feeling some of those headaches today," said McDaniel, via Cameron Wolfe.

All things considered, that's a pretty positive Tua Tagovailoa update.

It's highly unlikely Tagovailoa takes the field in Week 5. He may even miss Week 6.

The Dolphins, meanwhile, get the weekend off after falling to the Bengals on Thursday night.
