Nathaniel Hackett is under a whole lot of pressure out in Denver right now.
The Broncos are 2-3 to start the 2022 season; the record's deceiving. Denver looks nothing like a playoff team, at least though five games.
Hackett isn't going to overreact to his team's start just yet, though.
The rookie NFL head coach thinks the Broncos' early-season struggles are just "growing pains" that will dissipate later on in the year.
Nathaniel Hackett said five games into the season, the problems on offense are growing pains, not long-term concerns. “Everything is growing pains right now.”
That's one way to look at it.
It's entirely possible Russell Wilson and this Broncos offense needs more time to mesh. But they had better hurry.
Training camp and preseason is typically the time to get the offense on the same page. Even a game or two during the regular season is an acceptable time-frame. But five games into the season with no offensive chemistry is stretching it.
Hackett has lots of work to do to get Denver back on track. It can start next Monday night vs. the Chargers.
