New York Giants List 14 Players On Wednesday Injury Report

The 4-1 New York Giants are perhaps the surprise team of the NFL season through five weeks.

But it appears the Giants will have to overcome some significant injuries to improve to 5-1.

The Giants listed 14 players on their Wednesday injury report, six of whom did not practice. The list includes some big names, most notably running back Saquon Barkley, who was limited.

Barkley, who has battled injuries the past two seasons, was listed with a shoulder injury. Barkley leads the NFL in scrimmage yards with 676.

Among the players who did not practice Wednesday were wide receivers Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney. The Giants' receiver room has been hit hard with injuries, as Sterling Shepard is out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL and Toney has not played since Week Two. Wan'Dale Robinson, who hasn't played since the season-opener, was a limited participant.

The defensive backfield is an issue, as well. Cornerback Cor'Dale Flott and safeties Tony Jefferson and Jason Pinnock did not practice, while corners Adoree Jackson and Darnay Holmes were limited.

The injury list did not include quarterback Daniel Jones, who left the Giants' game two weeks ago with an ankle injury but played through it during the team's win over Green Bay last week. Backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor, who is in the NFL concussion protocol, was listed as a limited participant.

The Giants will host the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
