The league will hold a "year-long" celebration for its centennial season
The NFL is embarking on its 100th season. To commemorate the centennial, the league kicked things off with a Super Bowl commercial called "The 100-Year Game," featuring more than 40 current and former NFL players, including 19 Hall of Famers and a total of 53 Super Bowl rings. The NFL released a teaser of the upcoming Super Bowl commercial and we spotted Peyton Manning, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Richard Sherman, Deion Sanders, Michael Strahan, Dick Butkus, Mike Singletary, and Jim Brown, among others.
"I hope the ad will remind everyone of the passion and excitement surrounding football as well as the rivalry and unexpectedness of the game," said NFL Hall of Famer Barry Sanders, who will appear in the full version. "In my wildest dreams, I could never have imagine so many players and NFL stars all coming together to run around in tuxedos for three days."
Here's the first teaser of the upcoming Super Bowl commercial to celebrate the NFL's 100th.
As part of the year-long celebration, the NFL will also launch a philanthropic initiative at the upcoming NFL Draft in Nashville. This should be an exciting year for the league, to say the least.
