NFL Cornerback Shares Photo Of Severe Burns Caused By Cooking Accident

Arizona Cardinals safety Antonio Hamilton.

NFL safety Antonio Hamilton had a "freak accident" at his home earlier this week. The Arizona Cardinals defensive back was cooking when things went haywire and resulted in several severe burns. The burns were so bad he wound in the hospital.

Unfortunately, the burns are bad enough that they'll prevent Antonio Hamilton from playing early on in the 2022 season. The Arizona Cardinals placed him on the non-football injury list this Thursday afternoon. He's expected to miss around four weeks as he recovers.

Hamilton shared a photo of his second-degree burns just moments ago. Warning: some may find the following image disturbing.

"Had the greatest camp of my career & last Monday I had a accident that could've ended up deadly for me & my family but instead I got the short end of it by having my feet severely burned (2nd degree). It was literally a freak accident and God spared me to only have these injuries," said Hamilton.

It sounds like he's lucky to be okay. We're certainly glad he is.

Hopefully Antonio Hamilton gets healed up and back out on the football field soon.
