Before the NFL's 2022 season began, Chicago Bears legend Dick Butkus sent a clear message to Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
"Boy, I hope Aaron Rodgers has figured out how to throw passes to himself because if not, Packers' games are going to look a whole lot like playing fetch with my dog (miss you Lucy)," he said on Twitter.
Butkus' prophecy is true, at least following Week 1. Rodgers struggled without superstar Davante Adams in the lineup. The Packers fell to the Vikings 23-7 to begin the 2022 season, as a result.
Butkus is now letting Rodgers hear all about it with a simple three-word message: "Told you so."
"Told you so," he said on Wednesday night.
The Packers-Bears rivalry never dies, does it? This time, Dick Butkus and the Bears have the upper hand.
Rodgers and the Packers are in serious trouble. Unless one of their rookie wideouts turns into an All-Pro player by season's end, Green Bay's 2022 aspirations are toast.
With that being said, nothing would surprise us less if Rodgers goes out and puts on a clinic in Week 2 vs., you guessed it, the Bears in Chicago.
