NFL Makes Official Decision On Sunday Night's Buccaneers vs. Chiefs Game

Super Bowl LV: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bucs vs Chiefs

Hurricane Ian is hitting the state of Florida with heavy rainfall, strong winds and ocean surges this week. It's a scary situation for residents in the area. However, the NFL is making any significant scheduling changes for teams in the state.

There had been speculation the NFL would reschedule Sunday night's game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs. However, it appears the League feels comfortable with the show going on.

The NFL has decided Sunday night's Bucs vs. Chiefs game will go on as scheduled. In other words, the League isn't making any changes because of Hurricane Ian.

A significant decision by Roger Goodell and Co.

"The #Bucs and #Chiefs game will be played as scheduled on Sunday night in Tampa," said Ian Rapoport.

Hopefully the game can be played as the NFL is anticipating.

The Buccaneers, in the meantime, are actually practicing away from home this week. The Bucs are spending time at the Miami Dolphins' facility this week. The Dolphins are in Cincinnati ahead of Thursday night's game vs. the Bengals.

Tom Brady will go head-to-head with Patrick Mahomes on Sunday Night Football this weekend.
