One of two moribund franchises will break a long postseason drought, as the Raiders haven't won in the playoffs since 2003 and the Bengals are riding an eight-game playoff losing streak dating back to 1991. Then the top two finishers in the AFC East will face off in a rubber match after two classic games.
So if you're wondering "What NFL games are on today?" know this: There are two scheduled for today, Saturday, Jan. 15.
Note: Games are ordered by start time. All times are ET.
NFL Games on TV Today
Las Vegas at Cincinnati, 4:30 p.m. on NBC
Both teams finished at 10-7 in the regular season, but they are not that close in quality if you look deeper. For one thing, the Bengals outscored opponents by 6.0 points per game, while the Raiders were outscored by 3.8. Neither Joe Burrow nor Derek Carr has played in the postseason before, so it will be fascinating to watch their debuts.
New England at Buffalo, 8:15 p.m. on CBS
The Patriots bowled over the Bills in frigid conditions the first time these teams met, and it may dip close to 0 degrees in Buffalo tonight. Could the weather actually benefit the road team in this one? Not if Josh Allen plays like he did in their last matchup, when he threw for 314 yards and three scores while running for 64 more yards.
