NFL Football Games on TV Today (Sunday, Feb. 2)

The NFL's 100th season will come to an end when the San Francisco 49ers face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIV on Sunday, Feb. 2. The two teams will meet in Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., to determine who hoists the Lombardi Trophy as this season's NFL champion.

The 49ers and Chiefs share some similarities, such as offensive-minded head coaches, young quarterbacks, and two of the game's best tight ends. But there are plenty of other differences as well, starting with the age gap between the head coaches, the formula that each team to the Super Bowl, and franchise history on this stage. The good news is that if the spread is any indication, it should be an entertaining game that will serve as a fitting end to the season.

So if you're wondering, "What football games are on today?" know this: There is one scheduled for today, Sunday, Feb. 2.

Super Bowl LIV: San Francisco vs. Kansas City

6:30 p.m. ET on FOX – Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla.

The Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl for the first time in 50 years, while the 49ers can tie the Patriots and Steelers for the most Lombardi Trophies if they win their sixth in seventh appearances. Andy Reid is more than 20 years older than his head-coaching counterpart, Kyle Shanahan, but both have their own Super Bowl demons from the past they are looking to conquer.

As for the teams, most of Kansas City's attention is focused on quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and for good reason, but there's plenty of talent elsewhere on the Chiefs roster. San Francisco went from 4-12 in 2018 to the No. 1 seed in the NFC thanks in large part to their defense and running game, but don't sleep on Jimmy Garoppolo. In some ways, this is a matchup of a throwback team (49ers) vs. arguably the blueprint for a modern-day NFL offense (Chiefs). So will the 49ers complete their impressive turnaround with another Super Bowl victory for the franchise or can Mahomes and the Chiefs' explosive offense finally win that elusive Lombardi Trophy for Reid?
