NFL Predictions: Week 17 Picks for Every Game

Athlon's experts pick every winner for every game on the Week 17 slate

There are just two weeks left in the NFL regular season and still plenty to be decided as we enter Week 17 with more teams eliminated from the playoffs (eight) than those that have clinched postseason berths (six). In fact, Kansas City, the league's hottest team with eight straight wins, is the only AFC team that has punched its postseason ticket thus far.

The Chiefs have a big game on Sunday on the road against Cincinnati. The Bengals currently hold the No. 3 seed in the AFC but, more importantly, can clinch the AFC North with a win over Kansas City. Meanwhile, the Chiefs can sew up the No. 1 seed (and first-round bye) with their ninth straight victory.

Tennessee, who is a game behind Kansas City for that coveted top seed, can clinch the AFC South with a win over Miami, who has won seven in a row to grab the last wild-card spot with two games left. The Titans also can secure the division title should Indianapolis lose at home to Las Vegas. The Raiders need a win to stay in the playoff hunt.

Another team that could really use a win is Baltimore, who has dropped four in a row as injuries have taken their toll. The Ravens have gone from fighting for the No. 1 seed to currently sitting on the outside of the playoffs, and next up is a surging Rams team that's won four in a row to take the lead in the NFC West. Also in the 1 p.m. ET window, Philadelphia looks for a fourth straight win when the Eagles face reeling Washington (losers of three in a row) for the second time in 12 days.

Later on Sunday, Denver and the Los Angeles Chargers face off. The Chargers suffered a humiliating loss to Houston last week and need to turn things around to stay in the hunt for a wild-card berth while the Broncos could be playing for head coach Vic Fangio's job (if his fate already hasn't been decided).

The must-see game of the late-afternoon slate will take place in AT&T Stadium between Arizona and Dallas. These two teams are going in opposite directions, the Cardinals losing three in a row while the Cowboys have won their last four, but this also serves as a potential playoff preview. Even with its recent struggles, Arizona can turn things around with a road victory over a red-hot Dallas team that's looking more and more like a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

In prime time, Green Bay has already secured the NFC North but the Packers can take another step towards the No. 1 seed when they host Minnesota on "Sunday Night Football." The Vikings lost yet another one-score game but remain in the playoff conversation and defeated Green Bay earlier this season. Week 17 concludes with Pittsburgh hosting Cleveland on "Monday Night Football." Both teams have disappointed, but neither has been officially eliminated from postseason contention, so this is a make-or-break contest between AFC North rivals.
